Aiko Melendez runs for Congress on 2022

Center Stage

VERSATILE actress Aiko Melendez announced that she will run as congresswoman of District 5 of Quezon City.

Aiko has also been convinced by former politicians, and some NGO (non-government organization) in Quezon City.

"Di ba, supposedly naman talaga, last election I was supposed to run kaya lang I had to be with Vice Gov, e.

"Since now naman ngayon, turn ko naman na he has to be with me naman when I run.

"So, napag-usapan namin na since ang daming taong nagkukumbinsi sa akin to run, and kahit naman nung wala pang pandemic, I've always been behind the scenes, di ba, sa pagseserbisyo sa bayan, it has always been my first love.

"So, talagang kinu-consider ko talaga na I'm going through that direction.

"I'm going back to being a public servant.

Aiko became the councilor of District 2 of Quezon City from 2001 until 2010.

However, as of the moment, Aiko has no political party yet.

"Magde-decide kami end of July, kung saang partido kami sasama, but as of now, we are, maraming kumakausap sa amin ni VG, actually mas maraming kumakausap kay VG kasi siya yung campaign manager ko!"

"So, talagang pinag-uusapan naming mabuti kung ano talaga.

"So, kaya I thought of him being one who can guide me na to make the best decision that I can make for Quezon City."

"Ang congress and council is just almost the same, ang difference lang ng congress is we're going to pass national laws.

"First Yaya" which aired on GMA did great for veteran actress Glenda Garcia. Her career was interrupted by an ordeal which she had to go through.

It was in 2013 when she was diagnosed with cancer.

Emotionally, spiritually and mentally.

"Survivor talaga. Tapos sobra kong iniingatan yung aking kalusugan, I exercise almost every day, ganyan, tapos maingat, vaccinated na rin ako, iyan yung unang-una ko ring ginawa," she gladly narrates.

Glenda had already received her two doses of vaccine.

"First yaya" had its last episode in July 2, Glenda played the role of Marni Tupaz.
