Celebrating the opportunity to give new smiles and second chances at life to those born with a cleft lip or palate was the virtual launch of Smile Train’s first Comprehensive Cleft Center located in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.
The launch was hosted by Lexi Schulze and attended by the Smile Train Southeast Asia director Kimmy Coseteng-Flaviano together with partners, Mabuhay Deseret Foundation and Allegiant Regional Care (ARC) Hospital Inc.
Through this partnership, comprehensive cleft care services will be made more accessible to cleft-affected individuals and families in the region.
The launch of the Cleft Center at ARC Hospital marks a new milestone for Smile Train in the Philippines as the organization continues to expand the number of its comprehensive cleft centers across the country. This goes hand-in-hand with the country’s first Filipino speech therapy mobile application, which Smile Train has recently launched during the pandemic. Smile Train, the world’s leading cleft charity stands by its commitment to promote cleft care and make comprehensive care facilities more accessible.
