CDC congratulates 2021 UP-Deppo graduates

THE Clark Development Corporation (CDC) extended its warm felicitations to the graduates of various courses and programs in the University of the Philippines Diliman –Extension Program for Pampanga and Olongapo (UP-Deppo) in Clark Freeport.

In a virtual graduation ceremony held on Saturday, July 24, 2021, with the theme "Pamanyulung, Pamanyulu: Forging Ahead, Lighting the Way,” UP-Deppo honored and recognized students who pursued and completed Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics, Bachelor of Arts in Business Psychology, Bachelor of Science in Business Management, and Master of Management programs.

CDC Vice President for Administration and Finance Mariza Mandodoc, who served as one of the guest speakers during the activity, encouraged graduates to continuously pursue excellence and carry the values that they have gained in UP.

“Patuloy tayong mabuhay at manilbihan na may dangal, galing, kahusayan at kababaan ng loob. Para sa Pilipinong nagtaguyod ng ating pag aaral, para sa iisa nating bayan, para sa UP nating mahal, at para sa Panginoong ating sinasamba,” Mandocdoc said.

Mandocdoc also cited the resolve and perseverance of the graduates for completing their courses despite the challenges brought by the pandemic.

Meanwhile, the CDC management also acknowledged Mayflor Ramos-Candelaria, a CDC employee who also graduated under the Masters of Management Program in UP-Deppo. Candelaria is among the numerous CDC employees who completed their masters’ degree in UP-Deppo with support from the state-owned firm.

“After taking the Masters in Management (MM) during the Covid-19 pandemic period, I realized that age does not matter with determination and the earnest desire for learning and self-improvement. UP-Deppo Batch 2020-2021 is the second class to undergo virtual graduation and to take the Comprehensive examinations online. The technology worked wonders during the Comprehensive exams conducted via Zoom (for the proctoring) and Google Forms for the exam itself. My MM journey was very fulfilling for it was completed in a new normal (online), which will be the new standard for future students,” Candelaria said.

CDC offers scholarship grants to its employees who want to pursue further studies in the field of management to achieve professional development. This initiative is also part of CDC’s support for its employees’ capacity-building program.

The UP-Deppo Masters of Management involves a trimestral schedule and offers more opportunities for qualified students to be taught and trained by experts and professionals. The program equips students for a professional career in the management of public agencies, business companies, and educational institutions.
