A TOTAL of 411 recruits under the first batch of faceless and nameless recruitment system of the Philippine National Police (PNP) took their oath at the Camp Ruperto Kangleon in Palo, Leyte Wednesday, July 28, 2021.

“From here, we will train you, to prepare you mentally and physically for your future job which is the law enforcement. You should apply the principle of having mind over body,” said Brigadier General Ronaldo De Jesus, director of Police Regional Office-Eastern Visayas, during the ceremony.

“I am hoping that you, as new members of the PNP, na hindi na kayo makakadagdag sa nagiging figures ng mga misfits at scalawags in the organization,” added De Jesus, as he emphasized on the image of the PNP, which is currently being scrutinized by the public.

However, he assured the public that the police recruits “were screened properly and are surely qualified.”

Out of the 1,289 applicants who have undergone the quick response (QR) code system in the PNP recruitment process for 2021 first cycle attrition recruitment program, only 411 successfully passed the rigorous process.

Of these 411, 256 are males and 155 are females.

The new batch of police officers will undergo the mandatory Public Safety Basic Recruit Course for six months at the Regional Training Center-Western Visayas in Kuta Kankabato, San Jose, Tacloban City and another six months of the Field Training Program. (SunStar Philippines)
