THE cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro was already at 12,341 after 154 more residents tested positive for the virus.
According to the City Health Office, of the 154 new local cases, 73 were local index cases, 59 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, 11 were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), eight were Apors with link, and three mortalities.
Cagayan de Oro recorded 1,587 active cases, 515 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 1,072 were outpatients.
The city also registered 81 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 10,214.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was now at 540.
Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated coronavirus-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro was now at 1,471, city epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya reported.
According to Retuya, of the 1,471 vaccinees, 969 were vaccinated with the Sinovac vaccine, 327 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 108 with Pfizer, 63 with Sputnik V, three with Sinopharm, and one with Janssen.
Of the 969 coronavirus-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 727 individuals experienced mild symptoms, 172 were asymptomatic, 65 were moderate cases, and five were severe cases.
Among the 327 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 222 individuals had mild symptoms, 77 were asymptomatic, 26 had moderate symptoms, and two were severe cases.
