Angeles logs Covid-19 death, 7 new cases

THE Angeles City Government has recorded one coronavirus disease (Covid-19) death and seven new cases as of Thursday, July 29.

The new fatality is from Barangay Cuayan, while the recently recorded cases are from barangays Pampang, 1; Anunas, 3; San Jose, 1; and Cutud, 2.

A total of 320 deaths were recorded by the city since day one of the Covid-19 pandemic.

There are 384 active cases in the city as of July 29, according to the City Health Office.

Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. said that 21 patients recently recovered from the virus. These have brought the total number of recoveries to 6,607 out of the 7,311 total patients since March 2020.

The mayor urged his constituents to continue observing health protocols especially now that the so-called Delta variant has entered the country.

The City Environment and Natural Resources Office, meanwhile, said that it conducts daily cleaning and disinfection of the city hall premises, upon Lazatin's order.

Health and Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases will help fight Covid-19.”
