Angeles mayor to distribute risograph machines to 53 public schools

ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. will distribute risograph machines to 53 public schools in Angeles City to reproduce learning modules for students.

Aside from the digital duplicators, Lazatin will distribute 30 drums of ink for each risograph machine that will be given to each public school.

The local chief executive has set aside P10 million for the acquisition of the risograph machines and ink. Bond papers worth P5 million will also be distributed to the public schools.

This as the Department of Education (DepEd) earlier announced that President Rodrigo Duterte has approved September 13, 2021 as the opening date for School Year 2021-2022.

“Mamimigay po tayo ng mga risograph machines sa mga public schools upang makapag reproduce ng mga learning modules ang ating mga guro para sa nalalapit na school year,” said Lazatin.

“Hindi na po natin hahayaan na kung saan saan pa hihingi ng solicitations ang mga guro para lamang makapag reproduce ng mga modules para makatawid lang dito sa sitwasyon natin sa blended learning,” Lazatin said.

It can be recalled that amid the pandemic, the City Government has distributed 63,200 tablets for the use of public school teachers, Grades 4 to 12 students and city scholars in their online classes.

Internet cards were also provided for the free access of WiFi. A total of 700 satellite units were installed city-wide for the free WiFi connection, alongside the distribution of internet learning cards to the teachers and students for better internet access.

Lazatin believes that no one should be denied education especially at this time of the Covid-19 pandemic.
