CAGAYAN de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Northern Mindanao on the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) Special Ayuda on Tuesday, August 3, at the Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao in Camp Alagar.

The ECQ Special Ayuda is a financial assistance from President Rodrigo Duterte for areas under ECQ in Northern Mindanao.

The target beneficiaries of the ECQ Special Ayuda are individuals or families whose livelihood was affected by the localized ECQ, the vulnerable sector such as persons with disabilities, solo parents, as well as the qualified beneficiaries of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP).

According to the Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2, each individual will receive P1,000 cash assistance, not exceeding P4,000 per household.

Since the payout will be conducted through door-to-door per barangay, DSWD Field Office Regional Director Mari-flor Dollaga-Libang asked the target beneficiaries to stay in their house to prevent the further spread of the novel coronavirus.

The distribution of the cash assistance will begin within this week.
