AN OUTDOOR adventure is always fun. It can ease the unnecessary distress caused by the continued existence of Covid-19 in the community and other countries.

The infection is everywhere and we have no other means of avoiding it entirely except to co-exist with the virus.

Our experts cannot fathom when this health crisis will reach an end. But what we can assure ourselves is to train our minds and emotions on how to manage or deal with this health crisis just to maintain our saneness until the virus disappears.

Discovering less-traveled routes and destinations can be fun and invaluable while unmindfully, you are reducing yourselves from the cares of the pandemic and its impact on our economy and health.

We have lost precious opportunities due to the pandemic but let us endorse those sad realities to the past.

Again, let us help ourselves the best way to handle the mental and emotional tortures induced by this pandemic.

One way to unwind is to commune with nature. And there are these waterfalls perfect just for this. Waterfalls can help relieve stress. The sound of gushing water rejuvenates one spirit, thus the Putro Falls is at Barangay San Fernando, Talisay is one good destination to visit.

It is an elevated location where bikers started to pursue as part of their desired destinations.

From Barangay Granada, Bacolod City, bikers pass by the Concepcion Talisay Route, which is more or less two kilometers distance. Bikers usually drop by an eatery to feed themselves to have the physical energy to get to Putro falls.

Going there can be a combination of traversing concrete, slippery, muddy roads when it rains with an uphill and downhill ride.

Bikers several times push their bikes because of the stiff terrain. Usually, if you ride your bike on stiff terrain, you will only consume more of your energy which won't help you get to your destination.

One has to learn how to manage the use of their physical energy when biking. And it is necessary to hydrate oneself during the rides.

Getting to Putro falls comprises 25.9 kilometers going to and back to Granada. It has an elevation of 410 meters above sea level. But you have the luxury of whether to ride or push your bike, depending on your calculation.

When you get there, a local resident has allowed bikers to park in their property while deciding to go down to the Putro falls for an exciting part of the bike ride -- bathing or swimming under the waterfalls. You have to go down by more or less 200 steps to get to the Putro falls.

Physical strains will be eliminated by one's excitement, seeing the gushing waterfalls.

Usually, it is an agonizing decision for bikers whether to drench themselves or not at the river and under the waterfalls because of the lack of extra clothes. They go there with their jersey and come back home wet.

But getting drenched is always the best choice to pay off the best effort of going there.
