OF THE 132 medical frontliners in Cebu City who contracted Covid-19, 95 percent did not manifest symptoms, said Cebu City Councilor Joel Garganera, deputy chief implementer of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
Garganera said others only experienced mild symptoms.
He said the mild to no symptoms condition of the medical workers can be attributed to the vaccine.
Garganera said only one medical worker is not vaccinated.
He said that Cebu City has recorded 11 mortalities on August 3, 2021. All 11 deaths were found to be unvaccinated.
Cebu City Acting Mayor Michael Rama asked barangay captains and other barangay officials, the church, as well as the public, to observe the health protocols and promote the Covid-19 vaccination program. (JJL)
