Central Luzon records 145,188 Covid-19 cases

THE total number of Covid-19 cases in Central Luzon has reached 145,188, latest reports from the Department of Health (DOH) showed.

For August 2 alone, 836 new cases were recorded in Central Luzon’s seven provinces.

Of the confirmed cases, 6,881 are active cases.

Reports also showed that 3,568 patients have died from Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic in 2020.

Bulacan has the greatest number of confirmed cases in Central Luzon with 55,698, followed by Pampanga with 28,022 and Nueva Ecija with 15,687.

Bataan also registered 14,990 confirmed cases and Tarlac has 10,817 cases.

Central Luzon alone has recorded 8,964 new cases in the last 14 days.

Bulacan province also registered the greatest number of confirmed deaths at 1,041 cases, followed by Pampanga with 900 cases and Nueva Ecija with 471 cases.

In Tarlac, 326 patients have died from the disease, while Bataan has 247 Covid-19 deaths.

Some 118 deaths have been recorded in Central Luzon in the last 14 days.
