Leyte student yields ‘shabu’

A 22-YEAR-OLD student was arrested for alleged selling and possession of substance believed to be shabu in Burauen, Leyte on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.

The suspect, Jefferson Capor, was also identified as Leyte’s number 4 high-value individual.

Personnel of Burauen Municipal Police and Leyte Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), purchased from the suspect a sachet believed to be containing shabu during the buy-bust operation.

Operatives also confiscated from his possession and control seven sachets of substance believed to be shabu, P500, a coin purse and P34 cash, police said in the report.

The confiscated drug evidence has an estimated street value of P14,000 and estimated weight of 2.0 grams, it added.

Authorities brought the confiscated pieces of evidence and the suspect to PDEA regional office for qualitative and chemical analysis examination and for proper disposition. (SunStar Philippines)
