ALL THE vaccination sites in Cebu City will remain open on August 6, 2021, amid the holiday.

August 6 is declared as a special non-working holiday in celebration of Cebu Province Charter Day.

There are currently six vaccination sites in Cebu City - University of Cebu (UC) Banilad, Robinsons Galleria, SM Seaside, UC Senior High School Private Campus, New Normal Oasis for Adaptation and a Home (Noah) Complex, and in Ayala Center Cebu.

Cebu City Health Department (CHD) officer-in-charge Jeffrey Ibones said the City is currently distributing three brands of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines including Pfizer, Sinovac, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

Ibones, however, said that those who are set to get their second jab of Sputnik V within this week will still have to wait for few more days.

The City is still waiting for the new supply of Sputnik V.

Ibones said he has no idea yet when will be the next arrival or delivery of Sputnik V.

In a data provided by the Management Information and Computer Services (MICS) officer-in-charge Richter CastaƱares on August 5, it shows that the City Government has already administered a total of 212,063 doses of Covid-19 vaccines.

There have been 125,443 individuals vaccinated for first dose, while 86,620 have completed their vaccination.

The MICS record also shows that there are now 459,818 individuals who have registered to the City's vaccination program. (JJL)
