Angeles City records 76 new cases of Covid-19

THE Angeles City government recorded 76 new cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.

The City Health Office reported cases coming from Barangay Pandan (16 cases), Tabun (9), Santo Cristo (9), Balibago (6), Cutcut (6), Pulung Maragul (5), Margot (5), Ninoy Aquino (5), Pampang (4), Pulung Cacutud (3), Capaya (2), Sapalibutad (2), Anunas (1), Lourdes North West (1), Cutud (1), and Amsic (1).

The city government also said in its bulletin dated August 4, 2021 that four individuals recently died from the virus, bringing the total number of fatalities to 333.

There were 76 active Covid-19 cases in the city as of August 4.

Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin Jr. said 6,741 of the 7,532 total patients had recovered from the virus.

The mayor ordered for a strict border control following the increase in the number of cases and the entry of the Covid-19 Delta variant in the country.

Non-residents entering the city are required by policemen manning checkpoints to present a negative swab test result released within 48 hours.
