SWU Phinma graduate places 6th in Pharmacist Licensure Exam

CONSISTENTLY topping the national licensure exams in the medical field, Southwestern University (SWU) PHINMA once again achieved great feats in the national April 2021 Pharmacist Licensure Examination.

SWU PHINMA welcomed 50 new pharmacists and Genevive Boniao, who ranked sixth out of 1,168 examinees this year with an 88.70 percent passing rate.

SWU PHINMA is also the Top 4 Best Performing School with an 89.29 percent overall passing rate and a 95 percent passing rate for first takers.

"SWU PHINMA has embraced and provided me with an avenue to develop the necessary skills and knowledge that I need to function as an effective and morally upright professional," Boniao said during the virtual ceremony on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021.

Boniao said even though she and her fellow newly licensed pharmacists celebrate the end of their academic journey, the pandemic has tinged them with sadness, as some of them may have lost a loved one to Covid-19.

"As new health professionals, we vow to be of help with all our might to keep sickness at bay," she said.

SWU PHINMA president Dr. Chito Salazar said most of the newly licensed pharmacists have gone to extraordinary lengths to make sure they are prepared for the licensure exam.

"We are celebrating newly licensed pharmacists who have proven that passion and dedication can overcome even the most difficult of times. Today, we are humbled to say you didn't just pass. You brought great honor to your families, community, colleagues and SWU PHINMA, now the top performing school in pharmacy in the country," he said. SPONSORED CONTENT
