A TOTAL of 191,956 household beneficiaries in Cagayan de Oro City will receive the cash assistance or ayuda from the National Government, through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Northern Mindanao, on Friday, August 6.
Mayor Oscar Moreno said the cash will be distributed house-to-house.
"I do hope nga maayo ang implementasyon niini. Siguro gyud ko nga daghan na sad ang mga intriga ani pero we just have to face it," Moreno said.
"Ang importante is maayo ang atong pag-implementar, ang atong system is well in place," he added.
The mayor said that two weeks ago, Senator Bong Go informed him that the National Government downloaded P767,824,000 cash aid for the families affected by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Cagayan de Oro.
Non-residents of Cagayan de Oro who are employed in the city are also included as beneficiaries of the financial assistance.
"We are targeting 191,956 household beneficiaries at P4,000 per household. P1,000 per person, maximum of P4,000 per household," Moreno said.
Moreno expressed his gratitude to the National Government and the City Council.
