SULU Provincial Director Michael Bayawan was shot and killed at a community quarantine control point in Barangay Asturias, Jolo on Friday afternoon, August 6, 2021.
Also killed was the man who killed Bayawan, Police Staff Sergeant Imran Jilah.
An initial report reaching Camp Crame said Bayawan accosted Jilah. This led to a heated argument.
Jilah was shot and killed by Bayawan’s security aide. (SunStar Philippines)
