370 new Covid-19 cases recorded over the weekend

THE City Health Office of Cagayan de Oro has noted a continuous rise in the number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases, as the city logged 370 infections over the weekend.

The cumulative confirmed cases in the city have reached 13,916.

The City Health Office said of the 370 new cases, 276 were local index cases, 78 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, 40 were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), 14 were Apors with link, and 12 were mortalities.

The active cases in Cagayan de Oro have reached 2,115, of which 625 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city and 1,490 were outpatients.

Cagayan de Oro also registered 186 new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as "recovered," bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 11,204.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 597.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated confirmed coronavirus-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro has reached 2,028, according to the report of the City Health Office.

Retuya said of the 2,028 vaccinees, 1,317 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 409 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 143 with Pfizer, 107 were vaccinated with Sputnik V, 48 were vaccinated with Janssen, three were vaccinated with Sinopharm, and one with moderna.

Of the 1,317 Covid-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 1,002 individuals are experiencing mild symptoms, 218 are asymptomatic, 91 have moderate symptoms, and six are severe cases.

Among the 409 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 287 individuals have mild symptoms, 87 are asymptomatic, 32 have moderate symptoms, and three are severe cases.
