THE new coronavirus disease cases in Cagayan de Oro are still in the hundreds, with the city recording 180 new local cases, bringing the cumulative number of infections to 14,214.
Of the 180 new confirmed cases, 97 were local index cases, 48 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, 21 local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), seven Apors with link, and seven mortalities.
Cagayan de Oro recorded 2,217 active cases, 647 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 1,570 were outpatients.
The city also registered 102 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 11,388.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was now at 609.
