FRESH from their successful team up in “Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam,” power showbiz couple Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles are back with another masterpiece -- Ikaw at Ako at Ang Ending.

Unlike their previous movies, which are mostly comedy-drama, this upcoming film for KimJe will showcase a more serious side of the two theater-film actors.

“It is very different from ‘Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam (BWP),’ the concept and characters ang layo, I think yung background naming in theater helped us in processing and preparing for the characters in this film,” Kim said in SunStar Davao’s Talking Heads interview last week.

She added that in her recent films like Jowable and BWP, some of the scenes are done through improvisation, which means the director, Daryl Yap, gave them a situation and flow with no strict script.

In Ikaw at Ako at Ang Ending, which is directed by Irene Emma Villamor, Kim said they stick to the script.

Jerald, for his part, said they are both grateful to Viva for giving them this kind of project.

“We are very grateful. We gave all the efforts na kailangan sa pelikula, alam namin ni Kim ang mga tao may konting gulat kasi serious kami dito, lagi kasi comedy, we want to meet their expectations, magkaroon ng magandang output a buong project,” he said.

He added that they also want the audience to know that they are versatile actors as they can do whatever is required of them.

“We’ll actually, in real life hindi din naman talaga kami always patawa, seryoso din kami,” Kim added.

One advantage of working on a project with a real-life partner, the couple said, is they get to rehearse some scenes together at home.

“We started in theater, workmates na talaga kami before naging kami. It is an advantage dahil because pag umuuwi kami sa bahay, nakakapag rehearse kami na kami lang, nakakakapag review and analyse kami ng script together,” Kim shared.

Ikaw at Ako at Ang Ending is a story of two hopeless strangers who meet in an unexpected time where both are trying to escape their miserable realities.

The teaser trailer for the movie premiered on YouTube on July 11. It’s 30 seconds of running, car chasing and Kim and Jerald’s hot love scene, building up for a suspense and action-filled movie.

“The film is a trip of emotions, it is a journey, kung ano-anong nangyari emosyon ang ihahatid naming ditto,” Jerald hinted.

Ikaw at Ako at Ang Ending will be streaming globally starting August 13, 2021 on ktx.ph, iWant TFC, TFC IPTV and Vivamax.
