FOUR people were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City, the police reported Friday, August 13.
Police Major Shellamie Chang, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Nur Harris Ulla Asa, 40; Benhar Manalo, 22; Totong Jumalun, 27; and Azel Lamani, 35.
Chang said that Asa was arrested in possession of a gram of shabu worth P6,800 and P300 marked money in a buy-bust operation around 5:50 p.m. Thursday, August 12, in Guiwan village.
Manalo was found in possession of a gram of shabu with P6,800, a coin purse, and P200 marked money when arrested in an anti-drug operation around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, August 12, in Baliwasan village.
Recovered from the possession of Jumalun were P3,000 worth of shabu and P200 marked money when arrested in a buy-bust operation around 10 p.m. Thursday, August 12, in Sangali village.
Seized from Lamani were P5,000 worth of shabu and P200 marked money when arrested around 12:10 a.m. Friday, August 13, in an anti-drug operation in Purok 10, Sitio Flamingo, Calarian village.
Chang said the suspects were detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
