Cervantes: Wear Miraculous Medal to protect vs coronavirus

JUST moments ago, I was reading Wall Street Journal, specifically a story datelined Tel Aviv (Israel) reporting thus: “After becoming one of the first countries to open up thanks to a widespread Covid-19 vaccination campaign, Israel is again on guard, this time against the spread of the Delta variant of the coronavirus.

Yes, the world’s most vaccinated country is again facing another wave of coronavirus. Mask mandates are back, people from elsewhere are required to quarantine themselves for at least seven days, a third booster jab is being recommended, vaccinated people are again being hit by the virus, this time the delta variant.

Here in the Philippines, leaders and their followers seem sold to the proposition that once at least the majority are vaccinated, the “normal” would return. What’s happening in Israel should brace us for disappointment.

Isn’t it high time that we in largely Catholic Philippines considered what’s being said from Heaven about the rush of apocalyptic events, including the pandemic, that’s now all too obvious in the entire world? The messages, alas, are not without panaceas.

With the reputation of being the only Catholic nation in Asia, Filipino Catholics now carry much on their shoulders. To them, the Blessed Mother has often addressed appeals for prayers, particularly the Holy Rosary, for conversion, for lifting the weight of pending tribulations, for the prophesied triumph of her Immaculate Heart, etc. affecting the entire humanity. Indeed, the rosary is a Catholic devotion. It is also to be noted that Catholic responsibility for the entire world is gleaned from the fact that recent messages, including prophecies to happen in our times and are addressed to the entire world, continue to be conveyed to mystics, some of them stigmatists, who are very Catholic.

Many prophecies, including those found in the Bible, took centuries to come into being. These days, the prophecies being told to Catholic mystics unfold in a matter of a few decades, even months or weeks. To me, this is an indication of the urgency for conversion, the need for Catholics to now willingly carry the load of the entire world, so that as many people can be saved amid an unprecedented battle between good and evil.

Now, let us consider recent prophecies about the coronavirus pandemic. Very specific warnings were conveyed way back in 2010. Indeed, on March 17, 2010, Our Lord Jesus told mystic Luz de Maria de Bonilla: “My dearly beloved people, I love you. I love you infinitely, and today I call you to place My cross in a visible place in your home. Do not fear, do not be ashamed of being recognized, because I love you and recognize you continuously. Today I again call you to anoint the doors of your homes, because plague is approaching for humanity.”

Recent disclosures by media now confirm yet another warning over a decade ago when Our Lord Jesus also told Luz on April 14, 2010: “Plague is approaching for humanity. This is produced by human hands, which wanting some economic power that they have lost in recent times, will cause disease among My own. This causes My Heart great pain. Therefore, I am warning you, and again I remind you of the use of the sacramentals so that you would protect yourselves. I remind you to anoint your homes for protection.”

In the same year, on September 5, 2010, it was the turn of the Blessed Mother to tell Luz as follows: “My little children, you are punishing yourselves. You have drawn the announced plague upon you. The human heart will feel great desolation. Men of science will be confused when they feel the impossibility of finding a cure. They will realize that only faith in the power of God will heal this suffering; He will heal this suffering through the sacramentals and instructions that we have given you from Heaven for such cases.”

In his more recent messages to Luz, Our Lord Jesus was not also short to tell us what to do amid pandemics when he said on Nov. 20, 2018: “My beloved people, many diseases are looming over humanity, and I mention this and make it known to you so that you can protect yourselves. Viruses swarm through the air and you should protect yourselves; for this My Mother has given you and will continue to give you the natural medicines necessary so that you might put them into practice, because some viruses have been deformed in laboratories so that they would not react to human medicines. It will be then that unbelievers, having to make use of everything found in nature and which My Mother has mentioned to you, will be surprised to see how health, if it is Our will, recovers.”

Then on May 30, 2013, this was what Our Lord Jesus declared to Luz: “The silent passage of the plague that will devastate the lives of men is weighing on you. Only the assistance of My Mother will succeed in stopping it; use the Miraculous Medal for this purpose, carrying faith forward as the banner of triumph.”

Please note that the wearing of the Miraculous Medal should not be seen as being protected by an “anting-anting.” Instead, it should be worn as a manifestation of our faith in the power of God through the Blessed Mother. My opinion (and this is just my opinion) is that the graces through the medal are best bestowed on those in sanctifying grace, meaning people who carry no mortal sins in their souls after such sins have been confessed to a priest.

I was reminded of our pandemic “community pantries” when I came across the following message f Our Lord Jesus on Oct. 10, 2018: “I call you to unite, to unify and intensify fraternity. I call you to compile the messages in which My Mother or I have provided you with the natural medicines necessary for facing the great pestilences, plagues, diseases, and chemical contamination to which you, as humanity, will be exposed, because it is not only nature that rebels against man, but also those who with petty and selfish interests have conspired to exterminate much of humanity.”

Has Heaven commented on coronavirus vaccines? Yes, and I had shared some such messages in this column. To repeat them at this time could, however, lead me to some crucifixion amid overwhelming faith in the science of vaccines. Still, I plan to again share some such messages in one of my next columns.
