644 nabbed in Pampanga for violation of protocols

HUNDREDS of individuals were arrested in Pampanga on Saturday, August 14, for violation of health protocols.

Pampanga Police Provincial Office Director Colonel Arnold Ibay reported that a total of 644 persons were nabbed due to non-wearing of face mask, which is a violation of Executive Order 17-2021.

Mexico police logged the highest number of arrest with 69, followed by the City of San Fernando with 65, Guagua and Lubao with 57 each, and Mabalacat City with 53.

Forty-three individuals were likewise arrested in Apalit town, while Floridablanca and Masantol cops both nabbed 34 persons, Candaba and Sta. Ana both had 28, San Luis had 26, and Porac and Sto. Tomas both had 25.

Also, San Simon police arrested 23 individuals, Magalang had 22 arrests, Sta. Rita had 20, Sasmuan had 19, Minalin had 10, and Arayat had 6.

Since December 12, Ibay reported that arrested persons in the province due to failure to wear face masks while on public area had reached 13,579 as of Saturday.

Ibay reminded the public to observe health protocols, as they are intended to protect everyone from getting infected by the virus.
