A HIGH-value target (HVT) drug suspect was arrested, while P1,020,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, a top police official said Monday, August 16.
Police Colonel Rexmel Reyes, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the arrested suspect as Adzmin Jumad, 23, a resident of Putik village, Zamboanga City.
Reyes said that Jumad was arrested by the ZCPO's Station 4 operatives in an anti-drug operation around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, August 14, in Mercedes village.
Seized from Jumad were 150 grams of shabu packed in three heat-sealed plastic sachets with P1,020,000, a motorcycle, 99 bills of P1,000 boodle money topped with one genuine P1,000 bill, and other personal belongings.
Reyes said the suspect was detained while formal charges are set to be filed against him.
He commended the ZCPO's Station 4 anti-drug operatives for the successful arrest of Jumad. (SunStar Zamboanga)
