VACCINATION rollout for the personnel of Joint Task Force (JTF)-Sulu took a huge leap after a three-day inoculation at its headquarters in Kuta Heneral Teodulfo Bautista in Bus-Bus village, Jolo, Sulu.

The inoculation started Friday, August 13, until Sunday, August 15, and almost all of the JTF-Sulu troops have been fully vaccination while the rest got their first dose of vaccine.

"Last week, 15,900 doses of Astrazeneca vaccine arrived here in Sulu. Today, we're very glad to announce that almost all of our soldiers in Sulu are either fully vaccinated or have at least got their first dose. This is really helpful given that as public servants we actually have to work more during these challenging times," Major General William Gonzales, JTF-Sulu commander, said Monday, August 16.

Medical staff of Camp Teodulfo Bautista Station Hospital led by Lieutenant Colonel Virgilio Reginald Acain and Dr. Nehama Singki, Sulu provincial health officer, facilitated the inoculation that took place on from August 13 to 15.

Meanwhile, Acain said that 226 candidate soldiers, who are currently training at 11th Division Training School, 187 members of Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit and some candidate soldier applicants were also able to avail of the Covid-19 jabs.

"We facilitated the vaccination as fast as we could and we're maximizing the opportunity given. Information dissemination was done down to our Cafgus so that everyone would understand the importance of having a vaccine as soon as possible," Acain said. (SunStar Zamboanga)
