2 military commanders visit Westmincom

TWO military units have expressed their all-out support to the Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom).

Brigadier General Lincoln Francisco Tagle, Special Force Regiment (Airborne) commander, and Major General Nestor Florante Rayos, commander of the Air Combat Command, expressed their full support when they visited Monday, August 16, the Westmincom headquarters in Zamboanga City.

Tagle and Rayos separately paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Corleto Vinluan Jr., commander of Westmincom at Camp Navarro, home of the Westmincom in Calarian village, Zamboanga City.

Tagle was welcomed by Brigadier General Antonio Nafarrete, Westmincom deputy commander for administration, on his arrival on Monday morning, August 16, and Foyer Honors was rendered.

Tagle was then received by Vinluan and the Command Staff at the Laong Laan Hall of Wstmincom headquarters.

Tagle expressed his pleasure in visiting the Westmincom and meeting with Vinluan again.

He said the Special Forces units deployed in the Westmincom's area of operation give their all-out support to the accomplishment of the command's mission.

Meanwhile, Rayos was welcomed by Brigadier General Arturo Rojas, Westmincom deputy commander for operations, and company-sized honors was rendered on his arrival at about 2 p.m. Monday.

Vinluan received the two-star general at the Laong Laan Hall of the command.

Rayos said the Air Combat Command is always ready to provide support in the combat demands of Westmincom.

Vinluan expressed his gratitude to the two generals who took the time to visit the command.

"The support of our comrades-in-arms is essential in achieving our mandates, and I am always grateful for the overwhelming support I get from my subordinates," Vinluan said. (SunStar Zamboanga)
