THE local government has rolled out the financial assistance for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) survivors in Zamboanga City.
Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar announced that initially, 124 recovered Covid-19 patients, covering the period June 1 to July 4, this year received the financial assistance.
Salazar said those who experienced moderate to mild cases are entitled to P3,000 each, while those who suffered severe infection are entitled to P5,000 each.
Salazar said the payout was facilitated by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and the City Treasurer's Office.
She said the grant of assistance was made possible through the City Council approval of the Supplemental Budget in line with her thrust to provide assistance, food and livelihood amid the health pandemic.
She said the distribution of the financial assistance will continue through the field offices of the CSWDO.
She said the initial recipients were from the CSWDO Field Office 1 in the city's west coast. (SunStar Zamboanga)
