Angeles City logs 122 new Covid-19 cases

ANGELES CITY -- The city government on Tuesday recorded 122 new cases of Covid-19.

The total number of active cases in the city has climbed to 918 as of August 17.

The new cases are from barangays Santo Domingo, 26 patients; Pampang, 20; Anunas, 14; Margot, 12; Balibago, 9; San Jose, 7; Pulung Maragul, 6; Cutcut 5; Sapangbato, 3; Lourdes Sur East, 3; Malabanias, 2; Lourdes Northwest 2; Cutud, 2; Santa Trinidad, 2; and Agapito Del Rosario, 2.

Barangays Pulung Cacutud, Claro M Recto, Pulungbulu, Santa Teresita, Capaya, Lourdes Sur, and VIrgen Delos Remedios recorded one case each.

On the same day, the City Health Office reported one new fatality, making the total number of Covid-19 deaths 356.

Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin, Jr. said that 7,068 out of the total 8,342 individuals who contracted the virus since the start of the pandemic last year had recovered.

The mayor ordered for the speedy inoculation of residents amid reports about the entry of various Covid-19 variants in the country.
