Covid-19 recoveries in Cagayan de Oro now at 12,028

THE total number of people who have recovered from coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Cagayan de Oro reached 12,028 after 136 city residents were tagged as "recovered."

The City Health Office also recorded 158 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed infections to 15,375.

Of the 158 new local cases, 80 were local index cases, 40 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, 12 were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), four Apors with link, 16 persons deprived of liberty and six mortalities.

Cagayan de Oro logged 2,686 active cases, 740 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 1,946 were outpatients.

Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus-positive vaccinated individuals in Cagayan de Oro was now at 2,637, the City Health Office reported.

According to Retuya, of the 2,637 vaccinees, 1,671 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 517 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 186 with Pfizer, 135 with Sputnik V, 122 with Janssen, three with Sinopharm, and three Moderna.

Of the 1,671 Covid-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 1,288 individuals were experiencing mild symptoms, 267 were asymptomatic, 109 were moderate cases, and seven were severe cases.

Among the 517 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 379 individuals had mild symptoms, 101 were asymptomatic, 34 had moderate symptoms, and three were severe cases.
