Zamboecozone chair inducted as RCC member

THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has inducted Raul Regondola, Zamboanga City Special Economic Zone Authority and Freeport chairperson and administrator, as a regular member of DOLE Regional Coordinating Committee on Thursday, August 19, 2021.

Lawyer Roy Buenafe, DOLE regional director, led the induction of Regondola during a special meeting of DOLE RCC at the agency’s office in Santa Catalina village, this city.

Buenafe said the DOLE RCC aims to unify its attached agencies and serve as an avenue for convergence in pursuing respective mandates through opportunities for dialogue, complementation of programs and services, and problem-solving between member-agencies.

Buenafe said the Zamboecozone will join the RCC during its quarterly meetings alongside DOLE’s family of agencies composed of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, Professional Regulations Commission, National Labor Relations Commission, National Conciliation-Mediation Board, Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Occupational Safety and Health Center, and Employees Compensation Commission.

The members of the RCC warmly welcomed Regondola to the RCC and expressed their full support and commitment to the committee’s goals and undertakings. (SunStar Zamboanga)
