P25,000 shabu seized in Bacolod

AN ESTIMATED P25,000 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust by operatives of Police Station 9 in Purok Villa Maria, Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City Friday morning, August 20, 2021.

The operation also led to the arrest of Kenneth Agsam, 66, of Purok 6, Barangay Tangub.

Police Major Sherlock Gabana, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said the suspect was arrested after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover around 11 a.m.

Police recovered from Agsam’s possession nine sachets of shabu weighing 4.06 grams and the marked money.

Gabana said the suspect, who was identified as a street-level individual in Bacolod City, was under surveillance for almost a month before his arrest.

The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 9. He will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Philippines)
