TWO babies from the Municipality of Apalit on Saturday, August 21, 2021, tested positive for the coronavirus.
On the bulletin released by the local government, a seven-month-old baby boy from Barangay Cansinala and a one-year-old baby girl from Barangay San Juan contracted the disease.
The two infants were identified as close contacts of their respective family members who first tested positive for the virus.
Meanwhile, aside from the two young patients, 17 more ApaliteƱo patients of varying ages also contracted the disease on the same day, bringing the total number of active Covid-19 cases in town to 192.
The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in town since the start of the pandemic has also reached 1,252, with 966 recoveries and 94 mortalities.
