CLARK FREEPORT -- The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) has shut down some buildings for disinfection.
In an advisory posted August 23, CDC said Buildings 2112 and 2113 (formerly AOL), and 2121 (Finance Group), including the third floor of 2127 (Engineering Services Group), will be closed for disinfection from August 23 to 24.
All transactions with the offices in said buildings will be processed online in the meantime.
According to CDC-Communications Division Manager Eric Jimenez, the disinfection of the said buildings is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of its employees against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
Last week, CDC also closed down the Sanitation Section of its Health and Sanitation Division on August 16 for sanitation. The office reopened the next day.
CDC has earlier imposed health and safety protocols, including the setup of Covid-19 control points at the Subic–Clark–Tarlac Expressway North and South entrances to Clark. Only government employees, Clark Freeport workers, locators, suppliers, and persons doing business in Clark are allowed to enter, and fully vaccinated individuals with vaccination cards.
Tourists and visitors coming from enhanced community quarantine areas are required to have negative antigen or reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) results taken at least 48 hours prior.
Motorists who do not have test results will be referred to the nearest health facility and have an antigen test before they can enter any establishment or go to any public place in Clark.
CDC also imposed a 50-percent seating capacity on restaurants inside the Freeport.
Wearing face masks and observance of physical distancing in public places are also strictly implemented.
