Over P156,000 shabu seized in Barangay Cabug

AN ESTIMATED P156,800 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust by operatives of Bacolod City Police Office (BPCO) Drug Enforcement Unit at Deca Homes, Barangay Cabug, Bacolod City over the weekend.

The operation also led to the arrest of Analie Baldevieso, 36, and Glenn Paul Castillo, 42, both residents of Barangay Cabug.

Police Major Sherlock Gabana, spokesperson of BCPO, said the suspects were arrested after they sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover around 11:15 p.m. Saturday.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession eight sachets of shabu weighing 23 grams and the P500 marked money.

Gabana said Baldevieso and Castillo, who were identified as street-level individuals in Bacolod City, were under surveillance for almost a month before their arrest.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 9. They will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
