Ang said the 5,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines are part of the 10,000 jabs of vaccines earlier promised by the PLDT-Smart Foundation.

On top of this allocation, the City has procured 650,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines using local funds, which its initial delivery is expected to arrive this month.

The City will administer the vaccines to priority groups A1, A2 and A3, as well as in priority groups A4 and A5.
