FOR September 1 to 7, 2021, the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) retained the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) status of the National Capital Region (Metro Manila).
Also under MECQ are Apayao, Ilocos Norte, Bulacan and Bataan in Central Luzon; Cavite, Lucena City, Rizal and Laguna in Calabarzon; Aklan, Iloilo Province and Iloilo City in Western Visayas; Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu City and Mandaue City in Central Visayas; and Cagayan de Oro City in Northern Mindanao.
NCR, Bataan and Laguna shall have added restrictions on dining, personal care services and religious activities.
Meanwhile, the following are under general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions: Ilocos Sur, Cagayan, Quezon and Batangas in Calabarzon; Naga City in Bicol; Antique, Bacolod City and Capiz in Western Visayas; Cebu Province and Negros Oriental in Central Visayas; Zamboanga del Sur, Misamis Oriental, Davao City, Davao del Norte, Davao Occidental, Davao de Oro and Butuan City in Mindanao.
Under GCQ are Baguio City in the Cordillera; Santiago City, Quirino, Isabela and Nueva Vizcaya in Cagayan Valley; Tarlac in Central Luzon; and Puerto Princesa in Mimaropa; Guimaras and Negros Occidental in Western Visayas; Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga City and Zamboanga del Norte in Zamboanga Peninsula; Davao Oriental and Davao del Sur in Davao Region; General Santos City, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, North Cotabato and South Cotabato in Soccsksargen; Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur and Dinagat Islands in Caraga; and Cotabato City in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
All other areas shall be placed under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).
This latest community quarantine classification shall take effect beginning September 1 until September 7, 2021, pending a change in community quarantine guidelines. (PR)
