CDC suspends recreational activities in Clark Freeport

THE Clark Development Corporation (CDC) has announced the suspension of recreational activities inside Clark Freeport from September 1 to 15, 2021.

This was due to the rising cases of Covid-19 inside the freeport.

"The Clark Development Corporation would like to inform the public that the use of all parks, open spaces, and other areas for all kinds of outdoor sports, individual, group, and recreational activities will be temporarily suspended from September 1 to 15, 2021," it said.

Cycling inside the freeport will also be prohibited, the CDC stated.

Workers using bicycles to commute to their workplaces inside the freeport are excluded from the prohibition.

CDC said these additional measures are being implemented in response to the increasing numbers of violators of minimum health protocols inside the Freeport.

"The safety and wellbeing of everyone is our utmost priority. Obedience to these guidelines is extremely important during these times. Thus, anyone caught violating the abovementioned protocols will be dealt with more severely," the CDC said.
