Coffee Expo Manila: PH’s 1st virtual coffee expo happening in September

THE Coffee Expo Manila 2021 is the first virtual coffee expo in the Philippines. Coffee Expo Manila is a virtual coffee exhibition on coffee, cacao and tea. It is a virtual trade event that brings leading companies, as well as start-ups, in the coffee industry that will showcase their latest products and services. Participants are also able to learn from veterans and champion baristas, discover new coffee concepts and gain entrepreneurial learnings. It’s organized by the Junior Chamber International-Alabang (JCI-Alabang) in collaboration with the Philippine Young Entrepreneurs Association (PYEA) and Collabox.

There are 20 speakers in the three-day event which participants can access anytime during the Virtual Coffee Expo. Coffee Industry leaders such as Steve Benitez, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Bo’s Coffee; Pacita “Chit” Juan, president of the Philippine Coffee Board; Joji Pantoja, CEO of Coffee for Peace; and Harris Conlin, 2019 National Champion Barista, lead the list of industry veterans whowill share their experience and insights on the coffee industry. Current business owners and would-be entrepreneurs are also going to enjoy sessions from other speakers like Butz Bartolome who is dubbed the “Philippine Franchise Guru.” Speaker Sessions on Marketing Strategies, New Coffee Concepts, Coffee Roasting, Direct Trading, Social Enterprise, Drink Creation and Ideation from Champion Baristas, Espresso Machine Demos by Trainers and Brand Specialists are also some of the topics café and business owners, would-be entrepreneurs, coffee enthusiasts and baristas can look forward to at the plenary hall of the Virtual Coffee Expo Manila.

With over 30 local and international exhibitors, participants can get more suppliers for their businesses, source sustainable gifts that support the local industry and Philippine Coffee Farmers. There will also be international exhibitors coming all the way from Colombia and Nepal in the expo.

JCI Alabang’s mission for this Virtual Coffee Expo Manila 2021 is to support local coffee and café businesses, young or starting entrepreneurs and most especially the coffee farmers in the Philippine Coffee Industry, by providing a platform for them to showcase their products and services, locally and internationally. The Philippines has the capacity and capability to produce quality coffee products and has a strong coffee culture grounded with traditions, that is best showcased to the world.

Coffee Expo Manila 2021 is also in partnership with the College of St. Benilde. It is also partnered with JCI Lipa, JCI Cebu, JCI Philippines-New York and supported by other chapters in JCI Philippines. It is also supported by the Asean Young Entrepreneurs Associations partnered with PYEA.

Lead organizer for this is Victoria Martinez-Esquivias who recently won second place in the 2021 Creative Young Entrepreneurs Program in Asia and the Pacific of JCI and is also a coffee-preneur herself. The 2021 President for JCI Alabang is Gian Paulo Nacino.

The Coffee Expo Manila will run from Sept. 3 to 5, 2021. It will be held virtualy via www.coffeeexpomanila.com.
