MANDAUE City Mayor Jonas Cortes has announced that all employees of the City Government will receive cash incentives as part of the city’s 52nd Charter Day celebration.

On Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, Cortes and other city officials celebrated Charter Day through a “Unity Flag Raising” at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) at the North Reclamation Area.

Cortes said regular employees will receive a P15,000 while job order employees will get a P5,000 honorarium.

Barangay health workers and the City’s “clean and green workers” will also receive an honorarium of P2,400, Cortes said.

He said the incentives, given yearly, is the City’s way of thanking its employees for their service and sacrifices.

Cortes added the incentive could help employees get through these challenging times. (KFD)
