SI Abigail “Abby” Buenaventura ang multi-award winning Cebuana tattoo artist nga nihimo karon og kasikas sa tattoo industry tungod sa katahum sa iyang mga obra.
Bisan kon pito pa lang siya katuig sa maong propesyon apan di na maihap ang iyang mga pasidungog nga nadawat sama sa “2018 Dutdutan International Tattoo Competition” sa World Trade Center-Manila, “Savage Ink Int’l Convention” sa Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino ug sa 2019 ug 2020 “Party in Paradise Int’l Tattoo Expo.”
Ang iyang talagsaong talento wala malilong sa showbiz diin lakip sa iyang mga nahimo nang kliyente ang aktor nga si Baron Geisler ug ang komedyanteng singer nga si Ethel Booba.
“Meeting Baron for the first time was intimidating, but I could say he is a true person with a good heart. Twice to tattoo him here in Cebu, together with his wife for their couple tattoo on their arms. Also sa Galaxy background on his shin (leg),” paambit sa 33-anyos nga si Abby sa Superbalita Laysho.
“Ethel Booba was my first celebrity client. Funny but true, na-meet nako siya first time sa elevator sa hotel kon asa sila naka-check in. While naa sa elevator, na starstruck ko ni Ate Ethel, wala ko nakapislit sa among floor, ang ending sila ang unang nigawas. “After few weeks yun na! It was a start of our tattoo and friendship bond which I will always treasure. Sobrang bait. Done some retouch on her back and arm and the name of Jesus on her hand. Also, a couple of cherry blossoms on her body and recently, a matching couple tattoo with husband chef Jessie Salazar.”

“I tattooed her ankle with Peony flower and hopefully, we might have some more tattoo sessions pag-okay na mag-travel sa Manila.”

‘TANDEM’

“Our rate depends on the design and size but I can assure you that it’s worth it `cuz I work with my heart on every piece I do. “We are tandem. I do the tattoo, my husband does the piercing and prepares everything I need during and after tattoo. I am very thankful for having a partner who is very supportive and caring at the same time,” pabuhagay ni Abby nga mabdos diay sa una nilang liwat.
“Yes, I’m pregnant finally after 11 years married and waiting. God’s plan is always the best! I know kuyaw mag-tattoo while preggy but it is our only source of income, but with proper health protocols, mas doble among pag-amping. And maybe sooner we’ll take a break for few months para maka-prepare for the coming of our first baby.”
Sama sa kinabag-an apektado sad sila sa pandemya apan mas nakita usab nila karon ang bili ug gahum sa pamilya ug pakighigala.
“We learn to value even the smallest things and are thankful that despite everything, we are still alive, kicking and working hard para mabuhi. Simple lang! Trust in the Lord and He will help us,” panapos pa ni Abby.
