KINDNESS is one of the essential values in our life that needs to be shared and emulated.

The Covid-19 pandemic has slammed us hard, and no one is freed from this dilemma. Many cared and have shown the acts of kindness shared with those who need it most.

They said the givers are blessed too, and so are the receivers. Any good action has its stimulus or has an equal divine incentive.

Those who are recipients can best express the experience of how it feels to obtain grace from God through humanity.

Mr. Ian Lo, a humble and straightforward president of the Negros Grace Pharmacy (NGP), collaborated with Bacolod City Lone District Congressman Greg Gasataya and Bacolod City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran to donate 1,000 sacks of premium rice to be given to Bacolodnons affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Rice is a staple food, and it is a basic need of every Bacolodnon and Negrense family.

We can skip a meal but never doubly without rice as we are culturally rice eaters. Thus, this donation makes sense.

Lo is a private citizen and can even go on with his life without bothering himself to extend help to others. Yet his nature dictates he likes to see his fellow get the things and enjoy the primary living conditions they deserve.

Lo always keeps a low profile even if he has more in life. He is silent, but his actions speak louder than words.

Lo has already donated more than 3,000 sacks of rice and other essential food assistance in collaboration with the Local Government of Bacolod and many local government units in Negros Occidental at the inception and rise of the Covid-19 cases.

The recent donations he has done were with the City of Bacolod with 1,000 sacks of rice and 500 sacks previously donated to the Province of Negros Occidental through Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz.

He said, "it is just their way of helping others who in one way or another helped our company grow and expand—a little act of kindness that can somehow help a family.''

Congressman Gasataya and Vice Mayor Familiaran also extended their gratitude to NGP President Ian Lo for his continued generosity to his fellow Bacolodnons and Negrenses.

"Just like him and others, we are just an instrument of his goodness. We greatly thank him on behalf of the people of Bacolod. We hope his works are emulated," they said.

Negros Grace Pharmacy is the leading chain of drug stores operating in Bacolod City, Province of Negros Occidental, and Panay area.

Quality and affordable medicines and other merchandise are being sold at more than 70 NGP branches in Western Visayas.

The untiring effort of Mr. Ian Lo has resulted in the significant growth and expansion of NGP in the community it serves.
