PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) Chief General Guillermo Eleazar lauded the City Government of Mabalacat for donating 20 pickup trucks, which will be used as patrol cars by police stations all over Pampanga.

Eleazar made this during the ceremonial turnover of the vehicles to the PNP and Pampanga Mayors League (PML) headed by Minalin Mayor Edgar Flores at the Mabalacat City Hall Friday, September 3, 2021.

Governor Dennis Pineda assisted Mabalacat Mayor Cris Garbo in turning over the patrol cars to Eleazar, Central Luzon Police Director Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon and Pampanga Police Director Colonel Arnold Ibay.

The PNP chief said he was surprised upon learning that a local government unit (LGU) donated patrol vehicles to other towns, which exemplifies the importance of cooperation to attain peace and order.

"Ito lang ang nakita ko na dumating lahat pati ang gobernador, mga mayors at kanilang mga chiefs of police (This is where I saw everyone come, including the governor, mayors and their COPs)," Eleazar said.

"At ngayong ko lang nakita na isang LGU na nagdo-donate ng mga patrol vehicles para sa karatig bayan. Dito makikita ang importansya ng pagtutulungan," he added.

(And now I just saw an LGU donating patrol vehicles for the neighboring town. Here we can see the importance of cooperation.)

Eleazar, who conducted a surprise inspection of the Mabalacat Police Station, also said he was impressed by the local police department headed by Lieutenant Colonel Soledad Elefanio.

"Nag-surprise inspection ako kaninang umgaga sa Mabalacat Police Station. Sa nakita ko, hindi ako na impress kung hindi talang impressed na impressed," the PNP chief said. "Bilib ako kay Lieutenant Colonel Soledad Elefanio sa kanyang ginagawa sa kanyang station. Kung iyong police station ang standard ng Pampanga Police Office (PPO), very good 'yan.”

(I did a surprise inspection this morning at the Mabalacat Police Station. From what I saw, not only was I impressed, I was really very impressed. I admire Lieutenant Colonel Soledad Elefanio for what she does at her station. If your police station is the standard of the PPO, that's very good.)

The Pampanga mayors thanked Mabalacat City and its officials for the patrol vehicles.

Flores said, "Mayor Garbo, mamahalin po namin itong mga ibinigay ninyong patrol vehicles kagaya nga pagmamahal ninyo sa Pampanga (we will love these patrol vehicles as much as you love Pampanga)."
