AGRICULTURE Secretary Dr. William Dar led the inauguration of the Ani’s Kadiwa and Kita outlet at the Milka Krem Ground of the Philippine Carabao Center (DA-PCC), Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, September 3.

Ani and Kita’s Kadiwa helps farmers bring their products to market and also benefits consumers because they can be bought fresh and cheap.

Kadiwa will open every Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Some of the products that can be seen here are the harvested vegetables and fruits, processed foods and various dairy products of the Farmers’ Cooperatives and Associations (FCAs) of Nueva Ecija.

Following this, Dar chaired the 22nd Advisory Board meeting of the PCC which took place at the Castillo-Eusebio Hall PCC National Headquarters and Gene Pool.

The board meeting discussed the profile of the Carabao Industry in 2020; National Dairy Herd Improvement; Carabao Roadmap Milestone from 2022 to 2026; the PL480 or the Intensified Community-based Dairy Enterprise Development; the collaboration with academic partners for Applied Biotechnology in Livestock Enterprises; and the Mandanas-Garcia Ruling.

Apart from this, the National Livestock Cryobank was also inaugurated and built to strengthen the ability of DA-PCC to advance research for development in ex-citu cyroconservation for animal genetic conservation leading to sustainable animal production system.
