Most of Oro's active cases still in Barangay Carmen

FOR months, most of the active cases in Cagayan de Oro are residents in Barangay Carmen, according to the report of City Health Office.

The cumulative number of active cases in the city has climbed to 3,621, of which 918 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city, 2,689 were outpatients, and 14 are returning overseas Filipino workers (ROFs)/locally stranded individuals (LSIs).

As of September 6, Barangay Carmen has 411 active cases. This is followed by Barangays Balulang with 294 active cases; Kauswagan with 266 cases; Bulua with 241 cases; Lumbia with 222 cases; Iponan with 205; Bugo with 197 cases; Macasandig with 184 cases; Lapasan with 145 cases; and Patag with 144 cases.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated individuals in Cagayan de Oro as of September 6 was 314,682, of which 209,605 received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines and 105,077 were fully vaccinated.

According to the data, of the 314,682 vaccinated individuals, 238,510 were vaccinated in city-run vaccination sites while 76,172 were vaccinated in the hospitals.

Among those who were vaccinated in city-run vaccination sites, 26,048 were frontline healthcare workers (A1 group), 52,622 were senior citizens (A2 group), 72,680 were persons with comorbidities (A3 group), 81,068 were essential frontline workers (A4 group), 2,840 were from the A5 group, and 3,252 were others from Filipino-Chinese community.
