FOR two decades and six years, SunStar Davao has witnessed how Davao Region has grown.
Founded in 1995, SunStar Davao had committed itself to be the storyteller of the community it serves -- Davao City and the rest of Davao Region. We are on the frontlines during the breakthroughs, triumphs, and challenges the community has to experience and endure to become what it is today. We covered and told stories of the Dabawenyos in our pursuit to build well-informed and active citizens in nation-building.
Like how the community we serve grew and adapted to the changes surrounding them, we also grew with them.
From a traditional newspaper we have grown and evolved to become a community content provider with a strong digital presence and influence. This shift in how we deliver stories to our audience has allowed us to reach more people. Our stories are not only being read by those in Davao Region but also those outside the region. Dabawenyos in other locations are able to read the latest developments here.
Our digital expansion has also allowed us to be more creative in how we deliver stories and information to you. Our digital programs provide a platform for newsmakers and leaders to share the latest updates on issues surrounding the communities. While we have made our presence known on Facebook, SunStar Davao can also be found on Instagram, Twitter, and Youtube. Recently, we launched our TikTok account where we post news clips from our digital newscast, Newsbits Tonight.
We have also strengthened our posting of infographics to improve our visual storytelling and delivery of news. Infographics provide our audience with certain information but in compact and visual form.
Our growth was not limited to how we adapted to the change happening around us. We also attribute our growth to the continued support of Dabawenyos. Thank you for continuing to trust SunStar Davao to provide you with the latest news happening in the community.
