THE Davao City Government further accelerated its vaccination activities as it opened the People's Park for the inoculation of Dabawenyos who are informal income earners.

On Monday, September 6, the teams at the People's Park started to cater for vaccination of drivers, including motorcycle riders, public utility jeepney drivers, taxi drivers, delivery services (Food Panda, Grab, and others), trisikad and tricycle drivers, motorcycle owners, bicycle owners, and riders; street vendors; kargadors, laborers, construction workers; sales ladies/salesmen, sari-sari store vendors and those who seek to be vaccinated.

The People's Park vaccination hub will cater to walk-in clients from Mondays to Fridays. It will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. for those who will receive the first dose and from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the second dose.

All those availing themselves of the free jabs at the People's Park must bring a valid ID, Safe Davao QR (DQR), and must wear a face mask and face shield. They must also bring their own pen.

Since the start of the vaccination activities, the City Government has already administered the first dose to 620,284 and 347,797 for the second dose as of September 4, 2021.

Out of these numbers, 274,581 essential workers already received the first dose and 93,909 received their second dose.

The essential workers' group has the highest number of individuals with the first dose and the second-highest for fully vaccinated.

The priority A3 group or persons with co-morbidities has the highest number of fully vaccinated individuals.

The City intends to cover around 800,000 by the end of the month. It targets to inoculate 1.2 million for the first dose by November. (PR)
