Virtual franchising expo opens, provides business opportunities amid pandemic

THE Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) opened the three-day virtual Franchise Asia Philippines (FAPHL) 2021 Expo on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, with the goal of spurring the industry’s rise from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

PFA chairman Richard Sanz said there are still business opportunities out there amid the difficult times.

FAPHL 2021 will again go virtual this year. The virtual expo will run from Sept. 8 to 11 while the virtual conference is slated on Sept. 21 to 23.

“We shouldn’t let the pandemic keep us from pursuing our dream of becoming our own boss by starting a business via franchising,” PFA president Sherill Quintana added.

With the theme “Igniting Recovery: The Future of Franchising,” this year’s FAPHL is a testament to the resilience of the country’s franchise industry and its drive to weather the storm of the recent economic downturn. It also seeks to inspire Filipinos to rise up from the current challenges and pivot to where the opportunities lie.

This year’s expo will showcase exhibitors representing more than 200 brands and is projected to attract thousands of visitors who will be able to engage with a wide array of franchise brands from the food, service and retail sectors with investment levels starting from P300,000.

Moreover, the virtual expo is accessible 24/7. Potential franchisees may explore the different brands they wish to know more and visit their digital booths to download their latest brochures and watch their current brand videos.

The expo will also run series of free webinars such as “How to Invest in the Right Franchise,” which is is intended for franchise buyers; “How to Franchise Your Business,” a talk dedicated for business owners; and “Five Ways to Grow Your Profits” for business owners or current franchisees.

FAPHL 2021’s virtual conference will feature more than 20 relevant sessions and is designed to help the delegates prepare for the future of franchising. (KOC with PR)
