ONE four-wheel tractor with rotavator and heavy-duty trailer along with one hand tractor from the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) were recently turned over to the local government of Floridablanca.
The pieces of machinery were the result of the initiative of our Mayor Darwin R. Manalansan, Vice Mayor Michael L. Galang and members of the Sangguniang Bayan in boosting the machine capability of local farmers in the town.
The two tractors will be used by the beneficiary farmers’ cooperatives to further expedite, facilitate and reduce the cost of land preparation of their paddy fields.
The said machines will be used by the Dampe Mamatas Farmers 'Association of Barangay Dampe and Solib Farmers' Association of Barangay Solib.
Also among those received by the town were Knapsack Sprayers for the San Ramon Mountain View Farmers' Association and two other sets of sprayers for the Rice Grainery Farmers' Association.
