‘Walk for Women’ gilusad

ARON pagsulong sa kawsa sa kababayen-an ug kabatan-unan bisan pa man sa panahon sa pandemiya, pagasugdan sa Zonta Club of Cebu II ang “Walk for Women: Zonta Club of Cebu II Virtual Walk” karong Nobiyembre 25 hangtod Disyembre 12, 2021.

Ang virtual walk, nga mamahimong salmutan sa tanan, usa ka fund raising activity, matod ni Nonie Uy, ang ways and means committee chair sa maong club.

“In response to the escalating cases of domestic violence very much aggravated by this pandemic, our Club is directing our efforts towards the establishment of a Pink Room in Mandaue City and to rehabilitate the VAWC desk in strategic barangays in the Cities of Cebu and Mandaue to provide initial assistance to victims of violence particularly women and children at the barangay level,” matod niya atol sa usa ka virtual press launch niadtong Miyerkules, Septiyembre 8, 2021.

Ang Pink Room usa ka one-stop shop refuge alang sa mga biktima sa abuso diin mamahimo silang makapahimos sa legal, medikal, ug usahay pinansyal nga tabang.

Ang registration fee anaa sa P750 alang sa tanang mga kategoriya ug hatagan ang mga partisipante og gratuity bag nga adunay sulod nga event shirt, water bottle, ug sun visor.

Matag distansya adunay gipahinungod nga kawsa kun adbokasya: 3 kilometer--Say No to Teenage Pregnancy, 5K--End Child Marriage, 10K--Break the Chain of Inequality and Abuse, 15K--Stand Up Against Trafficking of Women and Children, ug 21K--Say No to Violence Against Women.
