THE relentless fight against the Covid-19 pandemic continues until now, pushing the government and the private sector to consistently find ways to mitigate its impact.

Giving and sharing matters and anything coming from the benevolence of the private sectors will help a lot in somehow alleviating the situation, especially for those who have been greatly affected by the pandemic.

Just like what the St. Jude Catholic School in Manila Batch 1984 alumni and the Rotary International District 3850 did.

The two private sectors collaborated to donate personal protective equipment (PPE) and medical supplies to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLRMMH), South Bacolod General Hospital, Kaayong Lawas Foundation, and the Victorias City Health Office.

The donations included 1,600 pieces of PPE suits, 160 pieces of bunny suits, 120 (3M) n95 masks, 2,000 pieces of surgical masks, 2,000 bits of medium-sized gloves and 1,000 pieces of large-sized masks.

District Governor Edwin To and District Community Service head past president Victor Pip Acepcion of the Rotary Club of Roxas expressed their gratitude to St. Jude Catholic School Batch 1984 alumni for making this activity possible.

The Rotary Club of Bacolod - East (RCBE); RC Bacolod Marapara and RC Central led the turnover of donations. The recipients expressed gratitude for the PPEs and medical supplies they received.

The medical frontliners who usually have contact with the symptomatic and asymptomatic carriers can use these protective gears while performing their valorous duty, making the donations worthwhile and timely.
